About:
Aden Harrison is a young composer in the broader Denver area, combining classical orchestral composition with modern synthesizers to enhance visual and interactive media projects, bringing them to life. He has participated in multiple projects with various teams to produce music for a Disney+ series, Game Makers Toolkit Game Jam 2022, and Global Game Jam 2022. He has also participated in solo music writing competitions such as Eric Turnnessen’s Orchestra Composer Contest in 2023 and the 2022 Spitfire Audio Competition. With his experience, continuing undergrad education, and instruction provided by Joel Santos, an award-winning film, game, and television composer, Aden has continued to develop and hone his skills as a composer to further his creative ability and versatility.
His love of music began early in his childhood, when he heard and desired to understand the music in his favorite shows, movies, and videogames. He then would attempt to replicate this music on his home piano, until his parents set him up with piano and music theory lessons when he was four. Aden continued to nurture his performance skills, expanding his knowledge of the piano and other instruments until 2020, when, through his increasing desire to create and improvise his own melodies, changed course. Instead of pursuing a career in performance, he decided to focus on becoming a full-time film and videogame composer. Now he creates music for visual media with the goal of instilling into others the same fascination of music that sucked him into the worlds of his childhood.
